Highly concentrated chemicals such as hydrochloric acid (HCl) with a concentration of more than 33% or ammoniacal gas liquor (NH3) with a concentration of approx. 25% are highly gassing, thus consuming disproportional high quantities of binding agents. In order to normalise the consumption, it is recommended to provide waste-gas prewashers to be installed upstream.

The waste-gas prewashers are available in two different sizes. They are equipped with a mist collector, a spray nozzle, a deflector and a splash water connection having a nominal diameter of 10 mm, preferably demineralised water, thus considerably reducing the outlet concentration and, hence, considerably extending the endurance of the vapour traps for chemicals, installed downstream.

Flow resistance : approx. 0,5 to 1 mbar in case of rated load.
