Working principle | |
The FILTERMAT band filter operates on the principle of gravitational filtering. The contaminated liquid that is to be filtered (1) is fed-in through the liquid dispenser (2) onto an endless transport band (3) with filter fleece (8). Solid matter (dirt particles, sludge, etc.) is trapped (filtered-out) by the fleece. The more solid matter retained by the filter fleece, the less liquid is likely to flow through the filter fleece. The result being that the fleece will become plugged up. The cleaned liquid flows into filtrate holding tank (4) and can be reused in the process. The sludge particles, remaining on the fleece, form a filter cake (5). If the density of the filter cake prevents an optimal passing of the liquid and as soon as the filter lake (6) reaches a certain height (7, preset level-check), the now heavily-soiled fleece is discharged into the sludge container (9). At the same time, clean fleece is rolled of the roll and act as a new, unused filtering expedient. The whole process occurs continuously and fully automatic, without interrupting the flow. |
