The max. flow rate of FILTERMAT filter bags depend on their filter area, filter media and micron rating as well as the viscosity and max. pressure drop of the liquid to be filtered. The max. flow rate may be easily calculated by the diagram below, using the following multipliers to allow for the different sizes of filter bags.

size x multiplicator :
0,09 m² x 0,3 - 0,18 m² x 0,6 - 0,25 m² x 1,0 - 0,50 m² x 2,0

The diagram may be used for needle felt and monofilament filter bags.

Example :
filter fineness = 25µ
viscosity = 2500 cp
filter bag size = 0,50 m²

The calculated flow rate of a filter bag :
size 0,25 m² = 1,2 m³/h
for size 0,50 m² it equals 1,2 x 2,0 = 2,4 m³/h
